Madawati(Desk) Project

The Madawati project was created as an initiative by the Mlimani Alumni Organization (MAO) to help meet the shortage of 267 desks at Mlimani Primary school. It is often said that better educational tools enhance education and certainly the availability of adequate school desks is one way to improve the quality of education for our children.

The project began in January 2007 and a successful completion is projected for October 2008.
So far about 40% of the $18,690 needed to fulfill this project has been raised and 50 desks have been created using the donated funds. MAO hopes that more individuals and/or organizations will help satisfy the remaining amount through various activities such as sponsored auctions and fundraisers.

At present there is an ongoing eBay auction for a limited supply of jerseys for the Tanzania National Soccer Team (Taifa Stars).
